General Terms and Conditions

1. General provisions:

1.1. These Terms and Conditions ("Conditions") apply to all the contents in this booking engine. Please read these Conditions before using this Web site. The use of this Web site indicates your agreement with these Conditions.

1.2. Accord Car Hire LTD ("Accord Car Hire") may also modify these Conditions at any time, and such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting the modified Terms and Conditions on this Web site. Accordingly, your continued access or use of this Web site is deemed to be your acceptance of the modified Conditions.

1.3. Accord Car Hire does not own or operate any vehicle rental companies.

1.4. Terms between you and the rental vehicle provider:

1.4.1.Your contract for vehicle rental will be between you and the rental vehicle provider. The terms and conditions of the rental agreement between you and the rental vehicle provider are available on this booking engine when you select the vehicle type and insert other relevant information.

1.4.2.When making a reservation for a vehicle rental on this booking engine you are bound by and deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of the relevant rental vehicle provider.

1.4.3.Accord Car Hire is not responsible and shall have no liability if the rental vehicle provider`s terms and conditions available on this booking engine have been or are changed by the rental vehicle provider.

1.4.4.It is the customer`s own responsibility to verify the terms and conditions of rental vehicle provider (extra payment etc.) before the pick-up date.

1.4.5. Accord Car Hire is not a party to the contract between you and the rental vehicle provider and has no responsibility or liability (directly or indirectly) to any party in respect of the terms of your contract with the rental vehicle provider or any problems arising with the rented vehicle pursuant to that contract or any other problems between you and the rental vehicle provider.

1.4.6. Accord Car Hire makes no warranty or representation in relation to any rental vehicle provider or any vehicle rented by any rental vehicle provider. It is the rental vehicle provider`s own responsibility to provide you with a rental vehicle rented on this booking engine.

2. Data protection

2.1. Accord Car Hire recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of personal data collected on this booking engine. Therefore, Accord Car Hire is careful with personal information, taking steps to keep it secure and ensure it is used only for our legitimate business purposes.

2.2. We are required to send your information to the rental vehicle provider with who you have booked rental vehicle services so that the rental vehicle provider knows who you are and when you will use his rental vehicle services.

3. Reservation

3.1. After a reservation is made on this booking engine, our operators will contact the rental vehicle provider to confirm your reservation request. When your reservation is confirmed, Accord Car Hire will send you an email with the voucher (confirmed RESERVATION) within 24h-72h so that you will have all the necessary information prior to your arrival. Please note that under certain circumstances, i.e. busy locations, it may take up to 3 (three) days. Orders made for the immediate future (5 (five) days or less from now) will be given special priority.

3.2. Please note that a reservation made on this website does not guarantee the reservation. You must wait for a voucher confirming your reservation and guaranteeing you a rental car. If you do not receive it within 24h-72h, your reservation request is not confirmed. You can verify the status of your reservation by logging in this Web site. Accord Car Hire is not responsible if your reservation request is not confirmed by the rental vehicle provider.

3.3. We cannot guarantee a specific make or model. The car on your voucher is the most common vehicle for the class you`ve rented. At the time of pick-up, you will be provided with a car model on your voucher if available. In all other cases, you will receive an adequate substitute or a free upgrade. In the rare event you`d have to downgrade, you will be compensated for your improvidence.

3.4. Accord Car Hire only uses your email address for sending you a voucher. We only use your phone number to contact you if there is any questions with your reservation.

3.5. Accord Car Hire recommends that you thoroughly check the details of the reservation e.g. country, location and period of rental.

3.6. If you need to make any alterations to your reservation, you must contact Accord Car Hire through the booking engine clearly informing Accord Car Hire of the precise details of such alteration. Accord Car Hire does not guarantee that the necessary alterations can be processed. Alterations cannot be processed after collection of the vehicle.

3.7. As a condition of your use of this booking engine, you undertake to Accord Car Hire that you will not use this booking engine for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by or contrary to Conditions.

3.8. In particular, by proceeding to access this booking engine, you agree:

3.8.1. Not to use the booking engine to make any speculative or false reservation;

3.8.2. Not to use the booking engine to research rental vehicle providers or their pricing;

3.8.2. Not to use the name " Accord Car Hire" for commercial purposes without obtaining prior written permission from Accord Car Hire.

4.Payment

4.1. General provisions. The payment model for your reservation depends on the location and/or rental vehicle provider used. At all times you are responsible for payment of any additional services/costs requested by you and you are responsible for any other service charges applied by said rental vehicle provider.

4.2. Payment options:

4.2.1.Accord Car Hire charges a security deposit for the total vehicle price at the time of booking from your credit card;

4.3. Payment methods. You can use a valid credit card, PayPal or Bank Transfer on this Web site. Providers have their own payment methods including, but not limited to, credit cards, debit cards or cash. Please note that some Providers will only accept credit card payments.

4.4. Major credit cards including-Mastercard, Visa, Dinners Club, Discover/Novus and JCB, American Express.

4.5. Pre-Authorization:

4.5.1.Accord Car Hire requires credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation;

4.5.2.For certain rates or special offers, please note that your credit card may be pre-authorized or charged (sometimes without any option for refund) upon reservation and confirmation of the booking;

4.5.3.Accord Car Hire will charge the total price of the reservation from your credit card as a security deposit. Accord Car Hire deducts a deposit and refunds the balance to your bank account 5 (five) calendar days before the scheduled vehicle pick-up date. You will have to pay the balance and other additional costs (if you have any) to the rental vehicle provider upon arrival.

4.5.4.Your credit card must be approved for pre-authorization up to the maximum deductible amount before you can rent. If the card is not fitted to be pre-authorized, you are required to purchase extra insurance to reduce the deductable to zero. In the case that you purchase the extra insurance, you will still need to be pre-authorized to cover the costs of possible traffic violations and or refueling costs.

4.6. The voucher supplied by Accord Car Hire is your proof of reservation and payment. If the reservation is cancelled, the voucher is void. You must produce your voucher upon arrival at the rental counter. Failure to submit your voucher means you are forming a new contract between yourself and rental vehicle provider. You will be charged by rental vehicle provider for a new reservation and you will not receive a refund from Accord Car Hire. Please note- Accord Car Hire is not responsible for overcharges if the voucher was not presented during pick-up.

4.7. The principle currency on this booking engine is Euro (EUR), therefore British Pounds (GBP) and United States dollars (USD) have exchange rates set to the EUR.

4.8. All payments must be made in the pick-up country`s local currency. The price you are quoted does not include currency conversion fees levied from your credit card provider.

4.9. Accord Car Hire is unable to offer you a refund if you stop your rental earlier. In the event that you require to extend the rental period after the collection of your rented vehicle (dates not covered by Accord Car Hire voucher), you must pay directly to the car rental agency the local rental rates prevailing at that time.

5.Price

5.1. General provisions:

5.1.1.Accord Car Hire makes every effort to ensure that prices quoted at the time a reservation are made on this booking engine are accurate in all material respects. Nonetheless Accord Car Hire reserves the right to amend the price quoted at the time a reservation was made in the event of a manifest or patent error in the price quoted. Accord Car Hire will endeavor to notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable in the event that a price quoted at the time of booking is incorrect.

5.1.2.In the event of a change of price quoted at the time of reservation the customer may select to pay the amended price or alternatively the customer will be entitled to a refund of all sums paid.

5.1.3.The foreign exchange rates used by Accord Car Hire to display prices in the currency chosen by the consumer are updated frequently. Foreign exchanges rates used by your credit card company may vary. Accord Car Hire cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy between the price displayed by Accord Car Hire and the amount charged by your credit card company due to the rate of exchange used.

5.2. Included in price.

5.2.1. Unlimited mileage (unless otherwise stated) e.g. extra payment per km.

5.2.2. License and fees, road tax, VAT, airport charges and 24h breakdown coverage (unless otherwise stated).

5.2.3.Insurance. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and theft insurance. CDW is also known as Loss Damage Waiver (LDW). Please note that not all vehicles include insurance. Other rental vehicle providers have different insurance system.

5.3. Not included in price.

5.3.1 Additional Drivers. Each rental vehicle providers has their own policy regarding additional drivers.

5.3.2. Additional Extras. All additional extras are on request and payable locally to the agent when the vehicle is collected. Please ensure you request all additional extras at the time of reservation.

6. Requirements for drivers

6.1. Driver license. You must produce a valid driver`s license for the country where the rental takes place. The driver`s license must have been issued at least 12 (twelve) months before the pick-up date. In addition to the normal driver`s license, an international driving permit may also be required. Please note that the international driving permit is only valid if supplemented by your normal driver`s license.

6.2.Drivers age. Usually drivers must be aged between 21 and 75 inclusive. Other rental vehicle providers have different age limits.

6.3. Risk age. Often young drivers are less experienced, and are therefore more likely to be involved in an insurance claim. For this reason, if you are a young driver, some rental vehicle providers will ask you to pay extra money per rental or all rental period.

7. Pick up and drop up

7.1. Flight Information. For airport pick-up, it is essential that Accord Car Hire receives the correct flight number and arrival time. You can do this either online or by phone. If this information is not available at the time of reservation, please ensure that you inform us at least 7 (seven) days prior to your departure, via email or phone. Accord Car Hire accepts no responsibility for a failed rental due to late or improper supply of this information. Failure to supply this information also alleviates the responsibility of Accord Car Hire.

7.2. Identification. You will be required to present on collection of your rented vehicle, a valid drivers license from country of origin, a valid passport and a valid credit card in renters (drivers) name.

7.3. If you make a reservation but do not collect the vehicle, no funds paid will be reimbursed. Please be advised that in the event of a delayed arrival it is the customer`s responsibility to contact car rental agent. In the event of a flight cancellations or delay, Accord Car Hire will not be held responsible for the funds paid.

7.4. Fuel policy. All vehicles have a full tank of fuel at the commencement of the period and must be returned with the same status. If you return the vehicle part full, you will be charged for missing fuel at the end of the period at the locally determined price.Other rental vehicle providers may have different fuel policies. For example, some companies make the driver pay for a full tank of fuel at the commencement of the period and ask that the car is returned with as close to an empty tank as possible.

8. Cancellation/revision policy

8.1. If you wish to cancel a reservation, the only acceptable method is through Accord Car Hire Web site. Do not cancel your reservation with the rental vehicle provider directly.

8.2. You are able to cancel your reservation at anytime free of charge as long as it is done at least 24 (twenty-four) hours prior to the scheduled vehicle pick-up date.

8.3. If you cancel a reservation less than 24 (twenty-four) hours before the scheduled vehicle pick-up date or if you do not cancel a reservation and do not pick-up a vehicle, no funds paid will be reimbursed to you, unless the entire rental amount has also been paid. Accord Car Hire will retain a cancellation/no-show fee and an administration fee (card processing fee) will be charged from your credit card.

8.4. A cancellation/no-show fee will be collected equal to the amount of 1 (one) day of rental charges, in most cases. Please note: some rental vehicle providers have policies that require a cancellation/no show fee to be collected that is equal to 3 (three) days of rental charges. An administration fee (card processing fee) of GBP 25 will also be collected

8.5. In the event of a cancellation of a reservation when the entire rental amount is payable on arrival, there is no fee for a cancellation but you still need to cancel your reservation through our Accord Car Hire Web site.

8.6. Revision Policy. Revision Policy. Accord Car Hire will only accept revisions to your reservation made at least 24 (twenty-four) hours prior of the pick-up date. All revisions are free of charge provided you revise the reservation at least 48 (fourty eight) hours prior to the pick-up date. If you revise your reservation between 48 (fourty eight) and 24 (twenty-four) hours prior to the pick-up date, you are subject to an administration fee.

8.7. There is no refund for early returns.

8.8. In the event of a cancellation of a reservation or the failure of a customer to be present for the scheduled pick-up date and time, the corresponding sum of money will be reimbursed by Accord Car Hire within 30 (thirty) working days of receipt of a cancellation of a reservation or the failure of a customer to be present for the scheduled pick-up date and time.

8.9. Accord Car Hire cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy between the price reimbursed by Accord Car Hire and the amount charged by your credit card company due to the rate of exchange used.

9. Complaints

9.1. Complainant is a person who has made a vehicle reservation through the reservation system in Accord Car Hire Web site and he/she has right to file a complaint.

9.2. The deadline for filing a complaint is 30 (thirty) days from the date on which the complainant was scheduled to drop off the vehicle according to the reservation made with Accord Car Hire.

9.3. The grounds for filing a complaint shall be set out only in writing and in compliance with the form on the Accord Car Hire Web site. The complaint must contain the complainant`s telephone number, electronic mail, reservation number and any other information to help identify the complainant. The complaint must provide details of the events or actions which form the basis of the complaint.

9.4. Accord Car Hire may dismiss an entire complaint for any of the following reasons:

9.4.1. resubmitting the same claim that is pending or has been processed by Accord Car Hire;

9.4.2. failure to comply with the time limits set forth be Accord Car Hire;

9.4.3. if the complainant fails to respond to a request to provide relevant information;

9.4.4. if the reservation request is not confirmed by vehicle rental provider;

9.4.5. if the grounds for a complaint is the result of problems arising with the rented vehicle pursuant to the agreement for vehicle rental or any other problems between you and vehicle rental provider.

9.5. Accord Car Hire does not inform the complainant about the dismissal of a complaint, except, if a complaint is with the rental vehicle provider. In this case, Accord Car Hire will inform the complainant about the available options and give him/her advice on a course of actions.

9.6. Accord Car Hire must conduct an investigation of the complaint, unless the complaint is dismissed. Complaints shall be processed as quickly as possible. An answer to the complaint by Accord Car Hire must be given within 20 (twenty) working days of receipt of the complaint in writing via e-mail.

10. Other provisions

10.1. Parking Tickets and Traffic Violations. You are responsible for the cost of any parking infringements and other penalties incurred during your contract period. The rental vehicle provider or Accord Car Hire will charge your credit card for any parking tickets and or traffic violations. You are also subject to pay administrative fees.

10.2. Breakdown Coverage - 24hrs roadside assistance is included in the rates. Replacement vehicles may not be provided by the rental vehicle provider, depending on the nature of the breakdown.

10.3. Lowest Price Guarantee.

10.3.1. Lowest Price Guarantee - in the rare case that you find a quote lower than the price on our Web site you are entitled to exercise our lowest Price Guarantee. You may contact us with the details and we will do our best to meet or beat the deal. The lower price must be found at least 72 (seventy-two) hours before you want to pick-up the vehicle so that we can have time to check the claim. The quote that you find that is lower than the price on our Web site must adhere to the general restrictions for the lowest Price Guarantee offer. We will offer the lowest price guarantee within 24 (twenty-four) hours of your submission of the request.

10.3.2. Modifications. Accord Car Hire reserves the exclusive rights and sole discretion to change or revoke the lowest price guarantee. We also reserve the right to restrict the availability of the lowest price guarantee to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice.
